Short bio on the professional experience	Prof. Evanthia Kalpazidou Schmidt has been working with evaluation and research policy issues for more than 20 years. Latest activities are related to European RTD Evaluation Network, DG Research, EC (Danish member since 2003, appointed by the Ministry of Science and the European Commission). She has been involved in several projects funded by the European Commission, among others the project “Mobility patterns and career paths of researchers in Europe”(MORE), Social Sciences and European Research Capacities (SS-ERC),MORESS, the gender studies projects STAGES, PRAGES and WHIST; and the OECD project Funding Systems and their Effects on Higher Education Systems. She is frequently engaged by the EC as expert in assessments of FPs as well as evaluations of FP6 and FP7 project proposals and has been advisor to national research councils in different European countries. Prof. Schmidt has been member of the expert group involved in ex-ante evaluation of FP8, impact of EU-funded Environmental Research (including climate change).
