Problems encountered
Commentary on evaluation needs of the country	Evaluators are available in the country but there is no additional education organised, that would improve the methodological approach during evaluation process. The managing authorities exist but there is also need for further improvements in their experience. The consultancy market is quite underdeveloped and relies mostly on individual contacts. A solid number of potential evaluators exists, mostly with good scientific background, a knowledge database with expertise of all is being setup at the University of Zagreb, the University of Rijeka and the Ruđer Bošković Institute.
Commentary on individual professional needs of the evaluator	Although I have experience both in evaluation and managing the scientific, R&D and innovation projects, additional need for training always exists. I suspect that for being a certified evaluator a number of standardised topics has to be systematically learned. Definitely, the need of information on evaluation standards exists.
